Stronger together
in Cathcart.
Working alongside our neighbouring churches
Psalm 133:1"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!"
We believe churches are stronger when they work together. Over the years we have built close partnerships with other congregations in Cathcart, allowing us to serve the community more effectively than any of us could do alone.
Cathcart Church of Scotland
We have a covenant partnership with Cathcart Church of Scotland first signed in 2011 and renewed in February 2026. This formalises a long-standing relationship of co-operation between the two congregations โ enabling us to be more effective together than we could be working separately.
Shared activities include:
- Sunday Evening Services at Cathcart Church of Scotland
- Wednesday Morning Services at Cathcart United Free Church
- Small Bible Study groups across both congregations
- Monthly Prayer Breakfast with Cathcart Baptist Church
- Holy Week Services rotating across all three Cathcart churches
- Joint youth ministry through Radiate Cathcart
Cathcart Baptist Church
We work alongside Cathcart Baptist Church in a number of joint activities, including the monthly Prayer Breakfast and Holy Week Services shared across all three Cathcart congregations. This three-way relationship reflects our shared commitment to the gospel and to serving the people of Cathcart together.
Radiate Cathcart
Radiate Cathcart is a joint youth ministry supported by all three Cathcart churches. Drawing inspiration from Philippians 2:15 โ to "shine like stars" โ Radiate engages young people through worship, fellowship, discipleship and community service.
Led by Senior Development Worker Cara Wightman, Radiate's programme includes weekly and monthly groups, Easter and summer holiday clubs, and The Vibe creative arts project, supported by the Church of Scotland Go For It Fund.
