Life together,
all week long.
Fellowship · rest · community · faith
At Cathcart United Free Church we believe that faith is lived out together. We are a warm and welcoming congregation and we love spending time together — not just on Sundays but throughout the week.
Whether you are looking for a relaxed social gathering, an opportunity to explore faith questions, or ways to get involved in the wider community, here you will find the many ways our congregation connects, serves and grows — both within our own church family and alongside our neighbours in the wider Cathcart community.
Off the CUF
Our own monthly gathering — food, friendship and faith on the first Saturday of every month, 10:30am–12pm. Everyone welcome. Find out more →
Fellowship & Rest
Fellowship Groups
Home Groups — small groups with members from Cathcart UF and Cathcart Church of Scotland meet regularly to look at the Bible together, pray and chat. Days and times vary by group.
We also run additional groups from time to time, including Christianity Explored, Discipleship Explored and Talking Jesus.
Ask about a group →Prayer Garden
A quiet space for all to rest. Have a walk around, sit a while, and enjoy a bit of quiet time. We have seasonal topics on display for contemplation and prayer — we hope you'll find the garden a helpful place.
Quiet Spaces
Two opportunities each week to step away from the busyness of life and find a moment of stillness and peace.
Rest & Restore
Mondays, 9–10am — Cathcart Baptist Church
Rest and pray within the sanctuary, stay for a short time or longer.
Quiet Space
Tuesdays, 10–11am — Cathcart Church of Scotland
A time of reflection, simplicity and stillness.
Moments Café
A dementia friendly café — all welcome! A warm and relaxed space for everyone in the community.
1st and 3rd Monday of the month, 2–3:30pm
Cathcart Church of Scotland
Renew Wellbeing
Every Thursday, 10am–12pm at Cathcart Baptist Church. All welcome!
We participate in Renew Wellbeing, a national movement that encourages churches to create spaces of stillness, welcome and prayer for people in their communities. Renew Wellbeing spaces offer a quiet, friendly place for anyone who may be struggling with their mental health or who simply needs somewhere calm to be.
It is a drop-in café style space where hobbies and activities are shared or co-produced, alongside a quiet space for prayer, stillness and renewing.
This is a joint venture across the three Cathcart churches — Cathcart UF, Cathcart Baptist and Cathcart Church of Scotland.
Partnerships
Working together in the community
We partner closely with Cathcart Church of Scotland, Cathcart Baptist Church, and Radiate Cathcart youth ministry to serve our community more effectively together than any of us could do alone. Find out more →
